About our Project
In collaboration with the CoC, we have been gifted the task of using data in order to help combat homelessness in our home state of Maryland. A Continuum of Care (CoC) is a regional or local planning body that coordinates housing and services funding for families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
The visualizations and dashboards presented will be used in order to educate the citizens, as well as the leadership in Maryland. We are also using the prediction model in order to forecast the future of homelessness in our state. By analyzing historical and current data and generating a model to help predict future outcomes, we believe that we can help combat homelessness through education & legislation.
